Connecting a securities account with QUIN - The most important questions

You can connect securities accounts where you hold for example ETFs, shares or other financial investments with the QUIN app in just a few clicks. This article gives you an overview of the most important questions in regard to connecting securities accounts.

1. Which accounts can be connected?

Currently almost all German custodian banks can be connected with the QUIN App. In the window "Connect Custodian Bank" you can search for the available banks. Unfortunately some newer providers (e.g. Trade Republic) do not offer an interface yet. We will add them as soon as possible.

2. It did not work to connect my custodian account, what is the reason

When searching for a bank in the search mask, please check that the BIC matches the BIC of your bank. After entering your access data, were you asked for an authentication procedure? If not, you probably entered the wrong access data. Unfortunately, we have no influence on the appearance and the error message of the input mask for bank data. If you have problems connecting to your bank, please use the chatbot on our website or contact and we will help you immediately.

3. Can QUIN make withdrawals or initiate transactions?

No. Neither debits nor transactions can be initiated on linked accounts.

4. What happens to my data?

QUIN has no access or insight into your access data at your bank at any time. These are transmitted by the API service provider finAPI to the bank under highest security standards and QUIN never comes in contact with this information. QUIN only has access to the current securities portfolio and cannot view any transactions.

5. How current is the information displayed to me?

Via the API interface we receive the current holdings from your portfolio once a day. In the QUIN app we show you real-time prices for these securities, if the prices are available from our data suppliers.

6. Can I add multiple accounts to my QUIN account?

Basically you can add multiple accounts to your QUIN app. The QUIN dashboard will show you an aggregated overview.

7. Can I remove existing depot connections?

You can remove existing accounts at any time in the settings. If you remove the bank account, all data will be deleted automatically and irrevocably.
